Support Coaches

We have collated a list of experienced coaches that have kindly volunteered to act as “Support Coaches” for fellow coaches in their area.

The idea is that a Support Coach will be able to offer help and advise to coaches from other clubs within their area.  This is not intended to be a formal arrangement, but rather the Support Coach will act as a supportive voice at the end of the telephone, host observed training sessions, etc.

Our volunteer Support Coaches fulfill two broad roles:

  • Experienced coaches that are able to provide support for a specific event/event group – though for some reason we are surprisingly lacking in Speed coaches; or
  • Those that will provide assistance through the Athletics Coach or CiRF qualifications.

If you believe that you could benefit by being linked to an appropriate Support Coach – could you please contact either Julia Bailey – CCSO South London (jbailey@englandathletics.org / 07718-526355), or Guy Spencer – CCSO South London (gspencer@englandathletics.org / 07702-849277).  They will then try to link with a suitable coach in your area.
